Job Description

 


Build and test hydraulic equipment under the direction of the engineering staff. Have strong working knowledge of hydraulic testing circuits.
Scope/Supervision & Interaction
Communicate and work with engineering while reporting to Lab Manager

RESPONSIBILIES:
Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions.
Understand and be able to troubleshoot a working hydraulic circuit.
Set up test units and instrumentation and responsibility monitor test performance.
Build and test pumps, motors, valves and other hydraulic components.
Build POC (Proof of Concept) machines / Sub-assemblies.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Accurately use all lab measuring equipment.
Analyze test results and write reports with recommendations on appropriate action.
Provide engineering advice and assistance to other departments as needed.
Provide excellent service for and maintain communications with internal/external customers at all times.
Promote the culture of Leand and strive for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical aptitude
Good oral and written communication skills
Work well without direct supervision
Previous lab technician experience is preferred
Physical position that requires lifting and moving of heavy components and equipment
