About the Role:

As a Driver II, you will be an integral part of our transportation team, responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to their destinations. You will represent our company with professionalism and courtesy while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate routes effectively. You will play a key role in ensuring timely deliveries and providing exceptional customer service.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to designated locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
Load and unload goods onto and from the vehicle, ensuring that items are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.
Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, considering factors such as traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times, and report any discrepancies or issues to the transportation supervisor.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes, and report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Provide exceptional customer service to clients and customers, including courteous and professional communication and assistance with unloading goods as needed.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service, ensuring compliance at all times.
Handle any unexpected delays, changes, or issues that may arise during transportation, such as traffic accidents or adverse weather conditions, and communicate effectively with the transportation team and customers.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out, and ensure that all required safety equipment and documentation are present and up-to-date.
Continuously monitor and adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines, prioritizing urgent deliveries as needed to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to drive a Straight Truck up to 26,000 GVWR.
Must have a minimum of one year verifiable driving experience in similar sized vehicles. within the last 3 years with a safe driving record.
Ability to read a map and understand directions.
Strong knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
