Position: Staff Nurse (RN), Cardiovascular ICU, Night
Hours:36 hours/week, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am Nights
Location: Glenbrook Hospital Cardiovascular Institute

25K BONUS Eligibility:
1 year intensive care nursing experienced required.
Full time(36 hours per week)
Night shift
18 month commitment from April 1, 2024
Applicable to internal and external candidates
Offers must be accepted no later than February 29, 2024
Must be actively employed on the date of payouts.

Description:
NorthShore University HealthSystem's (NorthShore) new Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) complex on its Glenbrook Hospital campus in Glenview brings the promise of innovative quality care, patient access and comprehensive expertise. What you will do:
The nurse will care for complex cardiac and vascular patient populations including post open heart surgery, mechanical supportive devices (i.e. ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, left ventricular assist devices, Impella), advanced heart failure, and vascular surgeries requiring critical care management
Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:
License:Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
Education:Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
Certification:BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
Experience:Prior nursingorif new graduate nurse, CNA experience preferred
