Aon is looking for a Technology Sales Leader in Chicago, IL, New York, NY, Miami, FL, or Boston, MA!
Reporting into the Global Technology Sales Leader, you will play a vital role in developing the North America business. You will nurture key relationships to help build STG Technology Portfolio's presence across the North America insurance market and be responsible for the creation of sales strategies, tactics and action plans.
What the day will look like
The core objective of the role is to sell high quality insurance solutions using our proprietary software, in the Life and P&C Insurance market. To deliver on this objective you will:
Use a thorough understanding of your target market to understand market and client issues
Develop a strong understanding of individual customer needs and create proposals for how Aon can best address their requirements
Be fully proficient on Strategic Technology Group (STG) including pricing, capital modeling and reserving enterprise platforms.
Able to talk knowledgably about our proposition to promote technology capability opportunities
Work to develop the sales strategy and deliver pitches / respond to RFPs for your allocated markets for product sales and to meet the client's needs
Operate independently (and in collaboration with other Aon colleagues) and manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through to close
Conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings with C-Suite Clients to perform demonstrations; roadshows, conferences and other similar marketing events.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
15+ years of experience in Life and P&C Insurance actuarial software sales
Demonstrated ability to drive a growth culture sales team
A consistent track record of growing revenues selling insurance actuarial software - in financial services - and ideally to insurance companies in the North America market
A reasonable understanding of the requirements and issues facing Insurers from a software actuarial perspective
The ability to produce high quality material presentations and present these to clients
Strong influencing skills to present a potential project to C-Suite clients
Experienced connections with CEO, Chief Underwriters, Head of Capital Modeling and CRO
Significant experience leading complex major bids or proposals and strong deal closing skills
Well-developed experience of working with teams of consultants and modelers
A strong entrepreneurial outlook and a goal driven approach
The enthusiasm to meet clients across North America to deliver against your revenue targets
