Duties and Responsibilities 
 The Department of Cell and Molecular Physiology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of

Medicine (SSOM) seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR 

level.

We seek a colleague whose research program will complement departmental strengths in

cardiovascular, aging, molecular and cellular neuroscience, cell mechanics, and cell signaling

research. Careful but not exclusive consideration will be given to applicants who engage in

biophysical, aging, and multi-omics approaches. The successful candidate will have the

opportunity to engage collaborative translational research groups within Loyola's Cardiovascular

Research Institute and the Center for Healthy Aging and Resistance Mechanisms. Additional

The SSOM is actively expanding its foundational research departments and we seek innovators

to advance studies that span foundational and clinical investigations. Laboratory space will be

provided in the recently-constructed Center for Translational Research and Education

(www.luc.edu/ctre).

Candidates must have a doctoral degree and postdoctoral experience with strong publication

records. The faculty applicant will be expected to sustain an independent, externally-funded

research program and contribute to graduate and medical education. Inquiries and applications
