Job Summary
The Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for financial support to the business unit, region, or function through the management of planning and reporting activities. Included is oversight of the generation and consolidation of financial statements as well as development of recommendations to achieve business results. Implement policies and procedures for reporting and internal control. Owner of financial and business results. Also Responsible for financial systems as Finance Business Process Owner.
Responsibilities
Direct a comprehensive FP&A program and reporting process that provides senior managers a clear and concise review of current and projected financial/operating results.
Provide proactive leadership for all operating forecast updates throughout the year as well as the annual operating plan and strategic plan.
Ensure that decision support services are provided to other functions of business.
Structure how Finance will support execution against long-term business challenges and strategies.
Responsible as Finance Business Owner to define, develop, monitor finance system process to ensure internal controls, efficiency, and compliance.
Lead, as applicable, the implementation of and deployment ERP/Finance IT systems (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc.) and productivity actions
Continue evolution of finance function from "functional" to "process" orientation while building strong teams through motivation, direction, holding individuals accountable and providing challenging work.
Drive the Capital Efficiency initiatives within the Region.
Design and implement a comprehensive plan for staff development and retention, including development of key competencies needed at each level.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (or country equivalent); MBA preferred
15+ years of relevant work experience - financial analysis, annual budgeting, forecasting
5+ years of experience in strategic planning initiatives and 10+ years of experience managing staff
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting.
When aligned with Commercial Operations, may create strong cross-functional partnership with commercial organization, collaborating effectively to maximize customer deal profitability and optimize commercial operations activities, including deal profitability analysis, contract development, price maintenance and administration of variable compensation plans for sales organization.
