Job Description
What you will do
This position will monitor, regulate and control all battery manufacturing processes. The manufacturing engineers are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of all the equipment utilized in the manufacturing process. This includes reducing equipment downtime, scrap and ensuring a quality product. Employee operates with minimum direction to control plant manufacturing processes. Employee performs varied and somewhat complex work where independent judgment and action is exercised. Thispositionisresponsibleforthemanaging,planningandexecutionofengineeringprojectsaswellastechnicalsupportforproductsandapplications.
How you will do it:

Support and develop department on maintenance projects / activities with good engineering direction. Take part or facilitate the team Lean strategies and methodologies and/or Six Sigma activities.

Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process & systems. Implement interim processes as required to correct or contain all non-conformance.

Review product and process designs for compliance and safety, adherence to company standards, customer contract requirements and to ensure timely completion.

Implement process changes on existing equipment, and assist with the development and installation of production expansion equipment in the assembly.

Assist corporate and plant level Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance Dept. personnel to ensure that manufacturing assembly processes and assembly equipment meet all Safety, Environmental, and Quality and Engineering requirements.

Will train existing and new employees on PLC troubleshooting and making program modifications utilizing Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC software.

Reaches mutually beneficial agreement with all supported operating departments on required capacity specifications, ideally in terms of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
What we look for
-
BSEE/BSME from accredited college or university is required.

8 or more years experience in manufacturing environment or a related role.

Minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge and experience w/ PLC programming to include troubleshooting and making modifications is required

Working knowledge of the RCM process, Asset Management & condition monitoring principles, tools and application.

Proficient on Popular CMMS solutions like Maximo 7.6, SAP Maintenance & Prisma.
