Job Description
Elevate Care is a dedicated and compassionate provider of long-term care services committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Activity Aide to join our team and contribute to the well-being and happiness of our residents.
Responsibilities:
+ Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
+ Collaborate with the Activities Director to create a diverse and engaging activity calendar.
+ Adapt activities to meet the unique needs and interests of residents, ensuring inclusivity for all.
+ Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, fostering a positive and enjoyable environment.
+ Maintain accurate records of resident participation and document observations regarding residents’ responses to activities.
+ Work closely with the healthcare team to integrate activities into the overall care plan.
+ Ensure the safety and supervision of residents during activities, reporting any concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Previous experience in recreational or therapeutic activities, preferably in a healthcare setting.
+ Understanding of the physical and cognitive limitations of the elderly population.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to adapt activities to meet the needs of residents with varying abilities.
+ Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for nursing home residents.
