The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Team Lead to join the Life In-Force Processing team supporting the Insurance Operations organization in a work from home environment.

Background Details

As a Team Lead for the Life In-Force Processing team, including the Contract Change and Reinstatement and Non-Financial processing functions, you will assist the manager with day-to-day needs of the team. This will include providing real-time feedback and coaching to onshore and offshore team members, ensuring world class service delivery by supporting departmental and team goals are achieved by monitoring inventory, team inboxes and any assigned projects. You will be responsible for daily and weekly report management, handling escalations and assisting team members with questions or support needs. If this sounds like a role for you, please read on!

What you’ll be doing

+ You will mentor and coach less experienced team members daily by sharing knowledge critical to their performance and development. You will provide honest and open feedback to team members regarding performance. This will require thought partnership with the team manager before and during team feedback and coaching.

+ You will act as a point of contact for escalated issues, providing prompt resolution to internal/external business partners. You will maintain a network of internal/external contacts to perform case research and respond. You will also assist with priority and rush cases.

+ You will identify team member strengths and/or opportunities for development, assist the manager in providing routine training and development opportunities for team members and recommend training and development opportunities. You will also assign stretch assignments to team members to aid development.

+ You will identify, recommend, and champion process improvements that will enhance current processes, reduce redundancy, help eliminate errors and enhance the customer experience. You will actively support and promote change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.

+ You will serve as a department representative on various projects, committees and meetings. You may also support the interview process with potential candidates for open positions, providing feedback to the manager/hiring team.

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

+ 4 Year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s)

+ 0-1+ Years of operations and/or process experience directly related to the specific responsibilities of this role.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with others in a team environment.

+ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multitask while maintaining strict attention to detail.

+ Ability to take ownership and resolve escalated issues/concerns with internal and external stakeholders.

+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.

+ Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.

+ Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):

+ Contract Change and Reinstatement and/or Non-Financial Processing experience is highly preferred.

+ Previous coaching or mentoring experience desired.

+ Ability to evaluate information and the implications of a course of action or solution.

+ Solid relationship management skills, finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues, peers and external stakeholders/customers.

Pay Range: $42,300 – $75,500

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
