In this new role, you will be responsible for manage our digital portfolio of products and programs exceeding $200M of annual revenue per year. GE Healthcare is seeking a growth-oriented and collaborative Director, Digital Portfolio (Product Excellence, Strategy, Transformation, and Program Management Leader) to lead its portfolio of digital products for our healthcare customers.

Working well within a matrix organization and having a growth mindset and a passion for growing the digital portfolio will be critical to this individual’s success. The ideal candidate will have string healthcare domain expertise, highly collaborative, energetic, and tactically oriented. This individual will direct and oversee from idea to value realization of the organization’s portfolio of digital product and programs, establish standards and processes, lead portfolio rationalization, prioritization, and governance, and ensure on time delivery of programs to the commercial organization and customers. The Portfolio manager will also be responsible for providing prioritization recommendations, and owns portfolio mechanisms, status reporting and metrics.

Job Duties

+ Responsible for managing all Programs within the Cloud

+ Collaborate and partner with business and product development teams to enable growth across the existing product portfolio.

+ Lead the planning process to collect new demand and align portfolio to budget / capacity targets and company priorities.

+ Partner with digital leadership to define the organization’s project management methodology and establish processes for tracking and delivering projects with high customer satisfaction and value realization.

+ Develop project prioritization methodologies to ensure projects being selected are aligned to strategic priorities and are of the highest value.

+ Prioritize programs and projects based on changing business needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure and interdependencies.

+ Lead governance and portfolio status review meetings

+ Lead adoption and continuous improvement of the Portfolio tools and processes including portfolio dashboards, metrics (financial and non-financial), reports, and investment recommendations.

Minimum qualifications

+ Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.

+ 10+ years of experience in portfolio management and business development for complex healthcare and / or life science product and customers.

+ Advanced knowledge of IT portfolio management at a large organization

+ Demonstrated record of delivering programs in a timely manner, meeting budgetary and schedule-based measures.

+ Demonstrated project portfolio management skills (project intake, resource demand planning, budget management)

+ Strong facilitation skills in governance, project reviews, steering, and other project related meetings

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

+ 10+ years of experience with delivering technical innovations within healthcare including mission-critical systems and software solution targeting clinical and / or operational workflows.

+ Cloud certifications, as required.

+ Data and analytics experience with experience bringing new digital capabilities to market.

+ Agile and SaaS development and support models.

+ Knowledge/experience with PPM tools

Business Acumen:

+ Track record of providing direction and leadership to development teams in a cross-functional, global environment.

+ Cultivates a culture that proactively uses market data to drive growth. Continually monitors industry dynamics and market trends and anticipates how those trends will impact GE’s and our customers’ profitability.

+ Proficiency in defining and executing delivery strategies and plans, creating KPI’s to measure progress, and working with partner organizations.

+ Strong business and financial acumen

+ Excellent oral, written, and overall communication and presentation skills

Leadership:

+ Works with C-suite Business leadership to approve allocation of budget to meet architectural initiatives critical to business/mission success.

+ Experience working in a matrixed organization and utilizing shared resources to achieve program and organizational success.

+ Ability to shape high performing cross-geography technical teams comprised of diverse disciplines including mission expertise, data, analytics, software development, and cybersecurity.

+ Defines strategy with C-suite business leaders and subject matter authorities and determines courses of action that will impact the enterprise.

+ Makes timely decisions that set enterprise-wide direction. Promotes a tolerance for high long-term risk that equates with significant returns on the investment.

+ Understands the business strategy and interconnects the overall business, software, internal and external strategies.

+ Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team or independently.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $175,000.00-$270,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $208,000.00-$312,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
