Warehouse Building Maintenance – Decatur, IL

This is a full time, hourly position.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overall building maintenance and upkeep of three warehouse facilities. Employee is responsible for maintaining the facilities systems and warehouse handling equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Perform routine, comprehensive, and preventative maintenance tasks

+ Inspect warehouse handling equipment and racking systems

+ Maintain forklift fleet

+ Troubleshoot problems related to malfunctioning equipment

+ Perform millwright duties

+ Enhanced rigging duties

+ Respond in a timely manner to service requests by fellow colleagues

+ Ability to read spec sheets and blue prints

+ Ensure accuracy of maintenance records

+ Must be able to lift heavy items (50 lbs. unassisted), bend, kneel, stand, climb and work at elevated heights

+ Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends and Holidays

+ Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures

+ Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timely

+ Assist warehouse staff for the purpose of maintaining an organized layout and safe work environment

Job Requirements:

+ High School diploma or equivalent is preferred

+ Enhanced millwright and mechanical skills

+ Actively participate in all ADM required Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance programs

+ Promote the ADM Way and core Values

+ Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

+ Understand written procedures and write routine documents

+ Strong reading skills

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Strong leadership skills

+ Mechanical diagnostic abilities

+ Millwright certification or extensive experience preferred

+ HVAC certification is preferred

+ Electrical systems knowledge is preferred
