Job Description

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking full-time and part-time Client Care Technicians and Specialists to work the day, evening, or overnight shift at our Maryville, IL location, servicing the Metro East and St. Louis, MO areas. Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts are eligible for a shift differential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support clients through recovery process by observing, intervening, and reporting progress on goals and objectives.
  • Assist with client admissions by completing tasks such as orientation to the program expectations, inventory client belongings, assignment of rooms and other needed tasks.
  • Respond to client crisis situations using appropriate crisis intervention techniques, completing the Columbia, when applicable, and progress note to support the outcome and delivery of the service.
  • Offer individual and group treatment services identified on daily schedule and treatment/recovery/safety plans, use evidenced-based approaches, include specialized services for women, lead client activities and maintain a minimum service level as assigned by supervisor.
  • Transport clients to recreational outings, medical appointments and other events as needed.
  • Complete required data entry and paperwork in accordance with program and agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to progress notes and any other regulatory or funder requirements:
    • 100% of progress notes and any other required data entry or paperwork submitted within forty-eight hours of the delivery of the service,
    • Timely, accurate and thorough shift report completion.
    • All bed checks and client observations to be recorded timely, as checks occur.
    • Observation of self-administration of medications to be recorded accurately and thoroughly, as medications are being taken.
  • Serve as a backup to Recovery Support staff in offering engagement and support for individuals entering treatment.
  • Assist with meal preparation and observe mealtimes with clients.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment by quickly reporting & resolving issues. Monitor video surveillance equipment and answer in-coming calls.
  • Assume leadership roles on a regular basis, especially assisting with required supervision, training and mentoring new staff and offering to take on special projects.
  • Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness by assisting clients with regaining control over their own lives through self-directed recovery, including utilizing recovery language in all applicable documentation.
  • Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality of all organizational information gained while performing job responsibilities including, but not limited to, financial and consumer information.
  • Provide other duties as assigned, required, or specifically negotiated with supervisor.
