Description
The Advanced Imaging Technologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheresto the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, andcomplies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all otherregulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Advanced Imaging Lab leadership to establish and refine post-processing protocols for advanced diagnostic imaging modalities including but not limited to fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, cone-bean flat panel CT, CT, MRI, PET, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine.
Perform advanced imaging post-processing according to established post-processing protocols developed by radiologists and other imaging specialists to support both clinical and research post-processing.
Refers to appropriate reference materials for clarification when needed.
Perform anatomic and functional analysis and routine image reconstructions, review product with physician and provide data archiving to a specific database according to department procedure.
Appropriately uses post-processing platforms and data transfer protocols to ensure complete study capture for analysis.
Produce high quality, clinically appropriate reconstructed images.
Maintain level of flexibility to accommodate daily schedule and high level of productivity.
In collaboration with the Advanced Imaging leadership the Advanced Imaging Technologist learns and becomes proficient in new procedures and new software platforms as they become available.
Documents post-processing procedures to insure correct charging and patient tracking.
Sends secondary DICOM captured images to the specified archival platform.
Records data in a specified reporting system/database and/or pre-populates preliminary imaging reports with such data as specified in the workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
Certification in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
Certification or certification eligible AART(MR) or AART(CT).
Licensed with Illinois Emergency Management Department of Nuclear Safety Administration.
Preferred:
Experience working in a PACS digital environment.
Strong computer skills.
Experience with 3D imaging reconstruction and post-processing.
