About the Role:
CrowdStrike Falcon is a two-component security product. One component is the “sensor”, installed on endpoint client systems that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon cloud. The Cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network and can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines, presenting our customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.

Our Sensor Platform Team is responsible for building and maintaining the core components of the sensor. Sensor features cross-cut most core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, processes, and networking. Many features are also built in a way that they will have shared components across multiple OS and hardware platforms (e.g. Windows, macOS, Linux).
As a Senior Engineering Manager for the Sustaining and Operations (SaO) team, you will be expected to have ownership, responsibilities, and projects related to ongoing sensor quality as well as training/growing your immediate team. SaO team duties include troubleshooting issues, investigating and proactively responding to incoming sensor telemetry, and championing development projects that will help to improve overall Sensor reliability and supportability. As experts in this area, the team will also be responsible for providing cross-training and best practice to our other sensor engineering teams.
What You'll Do:
Provide technical and managerial leadership on the Sensor Platform development team including being generally involved with the strategy and approach for building enterprise quality next-generation Anti-Virus and Enhanced Detection and Response Security Software.
Troubleshooting complex sensor issues, investigate and proactively respond to incoming sensor telemetry, and champion development projects that will help to improve overall sensor reliability and supportability
Support sensor product development teams in designing and building high quality sensor software including providing cross-training and best practice
