Position Summary


Under the guidance of the Director of Fleet Services, the Supervisor of Fleet Services is responsible for providing leadership and strategy for all aspects regarding the acquisition, maintenance and disposition of all fleet vehicles. This position will focus on building a sustainable Fleet Program with special attention to quality, safety, and stewardship of our Versiti fleet.

 


Responsibilities

 

Primary responsibility will be managing Fleet operations and overseeing (3) Fleet Coordinators

Responsible for building a comprehensive fleet program to include compliance, safety, monitoring, inspection, and maintenance schedules of over 300+ fleet vehicles. Ensures all vehicles are in accordance with state regulatory and code requirements

Develops and drives continuous improvement practices to reduce organizational and/or departmental costs by identifying waste and inefficiencies

Works collaboratively and proactively with internal customers to increase vehicle uptime, reliability and utilization to lower maintenance cost, cost per collection and overall total cost of ownership

Manage existing vendor relationships and attend quarterly business reviews. Explore new partnerships to diversify and strengthen support for Fleet operations

Budgetary responsibilities along with establishing and monitoring KPIs

Educates stakeholders on fleet utilization, fleet best practices, cost control and mitigation while foster strong line of communication between internal and external teams

Streamline processing of monthly invoices, fuel card, and other service contracts. Standardize purchasing decisions, vendor selections, maintenance, and document retention to generate efficiencies and to create alignment

Mentors staff in career growth and personal development. Leads by example, motivates and inspires team
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification

Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements

Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures

 


Qualifications


Education
Associate's Degree Business, Finance, Automotive, Science, or related field required

Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Automotive, Science, or related field preferred Experience
1-3 years Fleet management experience, preferably in a healthcare or logistics environment required

1-3 years Leadership experience, preferably in Fleet Services or related field required

1-3 years Project management experience preferred

1-3 years Automotive repair, diagnosis and troubleshooting preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of vehicle systems, components, and design desired

Proficient in working across areas and functions to gain alignment, accomplish objectives, and drive significant organizational change required

Ability to build effective teams and motivate individuals to achieve common goals required

Excellent project and time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines at any given time required

Demonstrated critical thinking, deductive reasoning, problem solving, and analytical skills to interpret data and understand trending required
