Position Purpose:

The Fleet Analyst is responsible for supporting specific project analysis and assisting with the annual Long Range Plan. The Fleet Analyst will also conduct on-going and ad-hoc fleet and fuel analysis utilizing various systems and data sources to transform data points into meaningful information. This role will also liaise with departmental contacts in order to formulate analysis for operational, field and vendor data reporting and analysis. Conducts fleet analyses and special studies to implement quality service and operational improvements. Will work closely and support the Fleet Analyst Sr.

Key Job Activities:

Analyze the results, trends, and make suggestions for field operational changes
Track and explain changes from month to month
Learn the rules, processes and drivers that affect the overall fleet equipment and tracking
Report on monthly activity and variances on all created fleet reporting
Develop and maintain analytical reports on all fleet assets
Interact with all levels of the organization to analyze and report on variances from fleet tracking and supporting processes
Affectively manipulate large sets of data
Work with all outside vendors regarding fleet related issues and improvements.
Assist the Fleet Analyst Sr. to implement a communications plan to ensure frequent, accurate and timely communication to all field stakeholders and to solidify commitment to the fleet strategic roadmap
Consistently monitor asset utilization across the fleet - collecting driven miles against rated miles (over-under mileage)
Assists with the movement of vehicles to new locations as business needs change
Proactively evaluates the usage of long-term rentals to keep variable costs low
Provide analysis on telematics, fuel management, truck on-boarding, asset tracking, asset utilization and asset specifications
This role will provide a strategic approach to improving overall fleet efficiency through consistent execution of assets across all areas and implementing technology based programs for tracking and reporting
Performs other related duties as required or requested. This includes but is not limited to providing support to finance and / or other teams and special projects as needed
Assignments may be comprehensive, complex and require substantial research andanalysis
Assignments are generally in the form of broad outlines of desired results and objectives, outlining the project, and providing general guidance
Wide latitude and considerable flexibility is allowed in developing the design and in conducting the study

Experience (North America):

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Business or a related experience equivalent.
Minimum of three years of experience in logistics/transportation function/industry, fleet, etc.
Background in fleet management and coordinating initiatives within Transportation.
Excellent analytical and computer skills with experience utilizing analytical tools and databases
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Demonstrates the ability to identify problems and areas of improvement and suggest possible causes and solutions.
Demonstrates the ability to modify behavior, as needed, in order to maintain effectiveness in a changing situation; and with varying tasks, responsibilities, or people.
Demonstrates the ability to review and proofread work for accuracy and complete specific aspects of assignments, as directed. Concentrates on tasks at hand, even in distracting work environments.
