Job Description Summary

The position provides leadership and management within the Companys GL Management function. Responsible for providing analytical and accounting skills for the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and reporting activities of the organization. Supports GL Management personnel as well as Senior Financial Executives within the organization

What Youll Do

  • Daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and reporting activity including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Ensure appropriate accounting for all Foreign Exchange activity and assist with automation of the Foreign Exchange / General Ledger interface
  • General Ledger configuration / maintenance within Workday
  • Assist with month-end close process
  • Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory examinations
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and WTFC accounting policy and procedures
  • Manage the Wintrust Financial Change Committees monthly process including collection of requests, preparation of agendas and assurance of proper approvals

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience

  • 15+ years related experience overseeing General ledger process
  • Prior management experience
  • CPA Preferred
  • ERP System / Bank Source Systems
