What youll do:

The Teller is typically the first person the customer encounters when whey walk into a bank. Tellers processa variety of routine financial transactions (check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, etc.) and accurately balance these transactions while maintaining friendly and positive relationships with customers and coworkers.Responsibilities include:

  • Operate a teller drawer to serve customers and bank personnel in lobby or drive up.
  • Recognize potential cross-sell opportunities and direct customers to appropriate bank personnel.
  • Develop skills to recognize potential fraud and report to management as necessary.
  • Comply with all department, bank and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • May be responsible for bank opening/closing and may be required to participate in community events.
  • Assist with training of teller staff and problem resolution.
  • Assist manager with operational tasks such as audits and bookkeeping.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ yearsofprevious teller experience.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Able to lift 30 lbs.; able to stand for long periods of time
  • Travel between branches may be necessary
