Health Intelligence Company, LLC d/b/a Blue Health Intelligence seeks a Senior Data Engineer in Chicago, IL.

Duties: Design and develop scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load a variety of large, complex healthcare data sets to help generate actionable insights and address client’s reporting needs. Architect database, data lake, and data warehouse solutions to serve as a robust persistence layer for real-time and batch-oriented analytic processing. Identify, design, and implement internal process and technology improvements including redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. Expand and optimize our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as data flow and collection for cross functional teams. Find trends in data sets and develop algorithms to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise. Implement automated testing pipelines to assure quality. Provide operational support for pipelines in production, performing root cause analyses and hardening code to prevent issue recurrence.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 6 years of experience as a Solution Architect, IT Architect, Software Developer, or related role.

Requires 3 years of experience with:

• Designing and implementing cloud data solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP;
• Building batch-oriented pipelines in Databricks (or another Spark platform) to process data at scale;
• Data modeling and data warehousing fundamentals, including the design of star schemas;
• SQL; and
• Python, Scala, or Java.
