Job Description
Cision US Inc. seeks a Software Engineer II for its Chicago, IL location (may work remotely).
Duties: Collaborate with cross functional teams, including product managers, systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and determine project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, and to improve performance. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance. Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Design, develop, and modify software systems using Java 8, object-oriented design, threading and advanced libraries. Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation using Perl scripting for task automation, integration tools (such as Jenkins), Apache Ant. Use JavaServer Faces to build user interfaces in Java web applications, focusing on component-based development. Developing and managing cloud-native applications, emphasizing automation and scalability.
