Job Title: Production Team Lead
Location: Beecher, IL
Shift: 1st shift M-Thursday 5:00am - 4:30pm
Pay: $21.50

The Production Leader assists in the supervision and the coordination of employees in all areas of manufacturing. The title also includes the responsibilities of expediting and improving the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between other departments throughout the facility. Individuals are accountable to maintain productivity standards.

What you'll be Doing:
Monitor respective work areas and department employees to promote a safe and clean working environment.
Aid the Production Supervisor to develop, organize, and maintain a safe and efficient work area. Suggest and incorporates changes in procedures, workflow, and equipment use to improve efficiencies and safety.
Coordinate with the Production Supervisor the production of a quality product manufactured in the most efficient time possible.
Demonstrate leadership abilities, acting as a role model for other employees, by displaying a good moral work ethic and sound judgement in decision making.
Be recognized as an expert and be proficient in multiple skill levels on products produced in the work area.
Work with the Production Supervisor to develop standardized procedures.
Assist the Supervisor in reviewing product schedule and reporting, including the need for parts and/or raw materials on a daily basis.
Recommend disciplinary action to the Supervisor for employee performance.
Perform the duties of the Production Supervisor in his/her absence.
Aids in opening up and shutting down the facility each day.
Maintain all tools and equipment in proper working condition. Have competency in disassembling, cleaning, lubricating, and reassembling of the chopper equipment.
Recognize specific surface defects and their probable causes. Notify the Supervisor immediately of potential or existing problems
Overtime required at times

We'd love to hear from you if:
You possess a High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Have the ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write memos and reports. Ability to communicate effectively with superiors, peer and subordinate employees.
Have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure, micrometer and a caliper. Ability to use thickness testing equipment for measuring polyethylene parts.
