Job Description
The Instructional Designer is accountable for assessing, organizing, delivering and maintaining complete learning solutions that reflect adult learning theories and align with organizational objectives. This position will manage curriculum design and ensure training effectiveness.
Responsibilities
+ Deliver engaging learning activities and compelling course content using instructional learning methods/techniques and tools
+ Create all elements of design, using a dynamic, flexible guideline for building effective training and performance support tools
+ Conduct pre- and post-training analysis to evaluate effectiveness of training; execute curriculum and content enhancements based on assessment results and feedback
+ Collaborate with various business units, cross functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate design creation of training programs
+ Analyze, develop and update existing materials, partnering with department and functional area to prioritize
+ Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
+ 3 years of work experience in Instructional Design and/or training design/delivery
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
+ Ability to write effective instructional text, audio and video scripts, using a variety of visual design skills
+ Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without compromising quality and timeliness to goals
+ Detail oriented with problem solving and negotiating skills
+ Exhibit in-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models time management skills, meeting timelines and goals
+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
+ PBM/health care experience
+ Experience with e-learning and learning management system applications
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
+ Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
+ Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
+ Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
+ Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Reporting Structure
+ Reports to Manager or Director in the Service Excellence department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $64,700.00 – $97,100.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
