Collins Aerospace is looking for a Principle Specialist Business Operations at their Rockford , IL location.

Position will work primarily onsite. This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Primary Responsibilities :

+ Coordination of manufacturing production requirements and daily activities with the manufacturing supervisor for assigned programs

+ Daily interface with Customer, Program, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering organizations to ensure customer committed hardware and data deliveries are consistently tracked and achieved

+ Coordination with quality and stock room personnel in planning and implementing engineering changes in production materials

+ Working with Program Operations Manager to establish and generate Basis of Estimates (BOE) for new proposals

+ Participating in relentless root cause corrective actions

+ Managing work in process (WIP) to ensure work orders do not age and are processed and statuses regularly

+ The position will require frequent interface with various customers and will be the tactical Operations point of contact for assigned programs

+ Requires a candidate with strong leadership skills and the ability to convey effective direction using strong written and verbal skills

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications :

+ Prior experience in an Operations organization or interfacing with Operations organization on a recurring basis

+ Superior verbal and written communication skills and be a self-starter able to operate independently with no oversight

+ Experience in manufacturing, material planning, and government programs are key traits of the successful candidate

+ Familiar with SAP or other MRP systems

+ Drive Continuous Improvement projects – ACE, 6 Sigma and other Lean Manufacturing processes

+ Strong computer skills specifically in using MS Project, and MS Office products is highly desired

+ Possess strong leadership skills and the ability to convey effective direction using strong written and verbal skills

+ Position will require frequent interface with various customers and will be the tactical

+ Operations point of contact for assigned programs

+ Focus/ability to set priories and work independently

+ Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

+ Adaptability to change in a fast moving environment
