Job Description
Overview
Drives a culture of continuous improvement while approaching challenges with a positive attitude.
Responsible for ensuring that the Operating Division is providing safe, secure, and best-in-class quality. Ensures compliance with all regulatory, client, and Company policies. Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a collaborate safety and quality culture.
Essential Functions:
Accesses computer-based systems to review, extract, and interpret financial and operational data
Creates, updates, and maintains Excel spreadsheets and monthly reports to collect, interpret, and trend data to assist with management decision making
Maintains a culture of compliance with all safety, security, and quality procedures established by the Company, clients, and regulatory authorities
Ensures continuous improvement of safety, security, and quality results by identifying, analyzing, and developing proactive solutions to challenges
Organizes, leads, and attends meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Attends employee briefings and effectively communicates safety and quality initiatives
Trains new and existing employees in safety, security, quality, and job specific policies and procedures
Conducts Company vehicle driver training
Conducts on-site safety and quality inspections
Conducts and documents monthly facility hazard, fire extinguisher, and eye wash station inspections
Ensures compliance in the areas of post-accident testing and motor vehicle record checks
Ensures that any injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or irregular operations are documented, reported, and processed appropriately
Responds to injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or irregular operations 24/7/365
Collaborates with local senior leadership for the investigation of injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or irregular operations
Maintain records related to safety, security, and quality as required including but not limited to database data entry, accident/incident reports, OSHA logs, environmental spills/releases, observations, inspections, audits, etc.
Inspires and motivates employees while developing the leadership skills of direct reports
Strong analytical skills and a forward-looking mentality
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
Able to acknowledge and prioritize high-volume communications in a fast-paced work environment
Three to five years of safety or risk management experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
Aviation experience preferred
Must be 18 years of age or older
Valid state issued driver’s license and no moving violations in prior two years
Must submit to and pass a drug screen
Must meet all the requirements to receive required airport security badge and US Customs and Border Patrol clearance, including a successful completion of a background check and 10-year work history
