Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Under directsupervision, ensure the efficient operation of basic mold room equipment andmachinery.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setmolds, startup and shut down injection molding machines, and understand basicinjection molding machine functions as specified by work order or setupparameter sheet meeting all requirements such as correct sequence, propersetup, shutdown, mold storage, and lockout-tag out procedures.
- Completebasic troubleshooting and escalate complex problems.
- Writemaintenance work orders for part quality and general machine issues.
- Identifyand document process parameters (such as hot runner controls).
- Ensuresmachines, tools, molds, and their critical surfaces, as well as general workspace is clean and orderly.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Relevant Work Experience
- 2 years general manufacturing experience
Additional
- Must be able to stand 8 hours a day up to 6 days a week (will be 12 hour a day for positions that work 12 hour shifts)
- Must be able to life up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, reach, push, lift for extended period daily
- Work might require standing/stilling for extended periods daily
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant Work Experience
- Basic knowledge of injection molding machines and associated support equipment.
- Able to identify and explain basic functions of the mold, machine HMI screens, and material loading vacuum systems. Demonstrates proper safe mold tool use.
- Able to identify and utilize safety features of molding cell such as E-stop locations and hot runner alarms.
