Overview
Job Specifics:
Perform history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans for patients with various gastrointestinal and liver disorders
Provide education and counseling to patients and families on disease prevention, management, and lifestyle modifications
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and professional development activities
Communicate effectively and coordinate care with two physicians and other members of the health care team
Position is M - F 8 to 5

Qualifications
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in gastroenterology or a related field - preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Willingness to travel to different locations within the region as needed with a primary work location of Danville IL
