Job Description
The Adler Planetarium is seeking a Development Database Specialist to join our dynamic team located on Chicago's Museum Campus. The Development Database Specialist is responsible for maintaining the donor database including daily entry of gifts, donor research, supporting gift solicitation activities, stewardship of donors, and report preparation and creation. This position will bridge Development, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure gift and constituent data are correctly entered and appropriately and effectively communicated. This individual will also be responsible for:
- Processing, recording, and maintaining accurate information on all gifts and donors in the database.
- Updating and properly coding all constituent information to support the fundraising team's cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts.
- Assisting with the development and optimization of data workflows and processes with an eye toward innovation and maximum efficiency.
- Analyzing donor and gift data and identifying trends, insights, and opportunities.
- Creating reports and dashboards based on analysis and sharing with the team.
- Creating and managing the policies and standard operating procedures for data collection, entry, and management.
- Providing technical training and support; acting as a resource for department staff on proper data entry.
