HR Business Partner

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The HR Business Partner will be responsible to solve organizational challenges through people-related solutions and serve as an integral part of a market, assigned area(s) of a market or enterprise area’s mid to senior-level leadership team, to understand every aspect of the business and be a thought leader on human capital and organizational topics. In partnership aligned Director, Human Resources (HRBP), design and execute the end-to-end human capital strategy that will drive the business to meet its goals. This role requires a combination of hands-on and strategic reasoning and thinking, use of data to guide work, and being comfortable challenging convention. This role will primarily be responsible for managing labor relations, providinHR support to the front-line managers, and handling a variety of HR projects.

How you will make an impact:

+ Partner with a cross-functional group of subject matter experts within HR centers of excellence and the Carelon HR Business Partner team to design and execute the strategy for how the business staffs, onboards, develops, motivates, retains and promotes organizational effectiveness.

+ As a core part of this hands-on work, this position will execute programs to support associates, including compensation, performance management, organizational design, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, organization culture, rewards and recognition, and talent management.

+ Responsible for managing labor relations.

+ Partner with Sr HRBPs on organizational and people related planning and execution Understand and apply information to contribute to the organization strategy.

+ Provide insightful data to guide decision making and offer proactive solutions, solving problems and getting to the root cause of any issue, regardless of complexity.

+ Consult with front-line and mid-level managers to create comprehensive people plans to influence lasting and sustainable efficiencies.

+ Utilize analytical and problem solving skills to analyze data and understand trends.

+ Manage and influence multiple stakeholders through strong relationships, expertise and data.

+ Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

+ Demonstrate strong communication skills when communicate large, complex change.

+ Manage various HR projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including HR experience, business partner or generalist experience with data, analysis, trends and reports; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

+ Strongly preferred HR designation (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).

+ Experience with labor relations; managing grievances, building relationship with union managers and representatives

+ Experience supporting large groups of leaders in a primarily virtual environment

+ Strong customer service skills, follow through and ownership

+ Ability to operate autonomously in a fast paced environment

+ Strong sense of the importance of teamwork and collaboration
