Electrical Test Technician | Woodridge, IL

2nd Shift 2pm-10pm

Description:

My client in the Woodridge area manufactures electronics and telematics offerings for the automotive/transportation industry. They are looking to add to this team of engineers at the end of production line to do automated test equipment to test the electronics and modules that they manufacture.

Shift: 2nd Shift

(approx. 2:00pm-10:00pm)

Responsibilities:

80% of the time:

+ Maintain automated test equipment

+ Troubleshoot test benches/test fixtures

+ Document in Google form ticketing system

+ May need to troubleshoot the products being tested to confirm tests which could involve, reviewing schematics, test voltage currents, using test tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters, minor soldering.

20% of time:

+ Help the lead Test Engineer to engineer/build new prototype test benches and test fixtures from the ground up

Skills :

Test, Blueprint, Micrometer, Soldering, High voltage, Calibration, Electronics testing, Circuit board, schematics assembly

Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of electrical test technician experience

+ Experience troubleshooting test fixtures down to the component level

+ Must have experience in electronics troubleshooting and testing

+ Must have experience reading electrical schematics

+ must have experience with soldering

+ Experience with building test fixtures/test benches a plus
