Assistant Women's Soccer Coach (Part-time)
This is a part-time, stipend appointment.

The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach is a member of the Athletic Department staff and will assist the Head Coach in the day-to-day operations of the Women's Soccer Team. TheAssistant Coach provides support and encouragement to the student athletes. TheAssistantCoachwillworkingoodfaithand inamannerthatenhancesteamunitybysupportingtheteamand the coaches, so all parties have a greater chance of achieving their goals.
The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach is a part-time, stipend appointment on a schedule established by the Director of Athletics and the Head Women's Soccer Coach. Internal and external events may occasionally necessitate an altered work schedule. The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach must be able to work independently and accurately prioritize tasks.

KeeptheHeadCoachabreastof the team's progress,problems, and/orconcerns byreporting to the Head Coachany of these team's academic concerns and/or issues. Preferably in person and by email.
Must have an understanding and appreciation of individual differences in ability, personality, and interests in both learning and motivation.
Show athletes how to use fitness center equipment one-on-one or while in a group and instruct them on the proper use of modern physical fitness equipment.
Assistwithgamedayoperation which includes but not limited to:Fieldsetup,warm-up,in-gamecoaching,keepingandreporting statistics.
Assistwithteamoperationsincludingtraveltoandfrommatches.
Assistwithplanningpracticesessions.
Assistinrecruitingprocess:evaluationofprospectiverecruits,planningandfacilitationofcampusvisits, weekly contact with recruits to follow up on any questions or concerns they may have.
Workincoordinationwith the Head Coachtomonitorteammember'sacademicstatus,assistwith placement of players to four-year colleges, and ensure adherence to NJCAA rules and regulations.
As assigned by the Head Coach, supervision and presence during the team study tables as well as keeping up-to-date records of student's attendance and behaviors during the study tables.
Must bea supportiveandpositive rolemodel toward thestudent-athletes, coaching staff, and entire Athletics' Support Staff.
Any additional dutiesasassigned by the Head Coach.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degreeorequivalentwithpastexperiencecoachingand/orteachingsoccer.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Mustbeprofessionalinactionsandappearance.
Availabilitytoworknightsandweekends.
Must successfully complete a criminal background check with finger printing.
In an effort to comply with SURS return-to-work restrictions for employers (40 ILCS 5/15-139.5), candidates for employment at Parkland College musteither not be a SURS annuitant ormust bewilling to suspend his/her SURS annuity upon employment.This applies to all SURS annuitants except those receiving their annuity under either the Self-Managed Plan (SMP) or by lump sum payment.
