The target hiring range for this position will be between $52,000 - $62,500 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
Manages daily operations of a biomedical &/or social-behavioral research study involving multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, sponsors & other external project stakeholders.Monitors study performance, analyzes & review results, & supervises development & implementation of new protocols.Assigns work & supervises study staff & reviews technical operations ensuring that all processes, protocols & procedures are quality controlled & functioning up to standards.Develops implements & administers budgets, grant & administrative procedures.May co-author scientific papers for presentation & publication & coordinates writing, submission & administration of grants.Ensures that all study activities are completed by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
The Simon Research Lab and the Center for Health Equity Transformation within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seek a full-time Research Project Coordinator to join a dynamic and fast-paced research environment. The Research Project Coordinator will support a cancer patient navigation program focused on increasing diversity in enrollment into NCI (National Cancer Institute) supported clinical trials. With the supervision of the Project Manager, the SUPPORT Navigator will work with patients who are eligible for participation in the SUPPORT trial as part of the Connecting Underrepresented Populations to Clinical Trials (CUSP2CT) program. SUPPORT Navigators are expected to be able to connect with and support CT referral at each NCORP (NCI's Community Oncology Research Program) site. This includes answering questions for potential participants, participating in ongoing training and problem solving with CT research team members on approaches to recruiting participants into CTs, addressing social determinants of health barriers, providing community oncology clinicians with CT referral prompts and up-to-date CT listings to help improve knowledge of specific trials for which their patients may be eligible, and connecting sites and participants to resources to support trial participation.
The role requires an individual with excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. The Research Project Coordinator should possess strong relationship building and problem-solving skills. The position requires an individual to be comfortable engaging with patients and healthcare providers and can easily adapt to a changing environment.

Technical
*Leads execution & control of a biomedical &/or social science project or research study.
*Ensures completion of study activities per protocol including recruitment.
*Ascertains pretreatment & eligibility requirements.
*Obtains informed consent.
*Registers participant with appropriate sponsor.
*Administers, schedules &/or scores tests.
Administration
*Ensures that information is entered correctly into databases.
Miscellaneous
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
*Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 3 years' research study or other relevant experience required; OR
*Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a master's or higher degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 1 year research study or other relevant experience.
