Instrument Installation Specialist (Laboratory Diagnostic systems) (Laboratory Diagnostic systems, [Atellica, CI1900, & Automation]) Job Location: Remote (specify based on business need)

Position Overview:

The Instrument Installation Specialist is a critical member of our national installation team; this is a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs Siemens Diagnostic equipment at our customer sites. Our Specialist represent the "Face of Siemens" to the customer. The Instrument Installation Specialist reports to the Customer Service Manager (CSM). Candidate should live near a major airport. Additional travel may be required outside of assigned territory. Company vehicle is provided, also for private use.

Responsibilities:

• Installs Atellica, CI1900, Aptio, Flex Lab X, HT, and automation reconfigurations at install site, by

performing Start-up and calibration of systems within a planned project timeline. Supports break/fixes

during the entire project cycle, communicates, escalates technical issues and delays to keep installation

projects on schedule; assures quality; schedule, budget and customer satisfaction during project

implementation phases.

• Evaluates site layout and installation quality of our mechanical install vendors, start-up in

accordance with factory instructions and specifications; troubleshoot technical problems and repair

out of box failures errors; orders missing or damaged parts; provide feedback to vendors, factory,

project management and planning.

• Uses the tools provided to document the predefined installation tasks.

• Provide expert level mentoring support to field service organization.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Technical training or degree, associates or higher; minimum of 2-3 years of experience with

Atellica/CI1900 system, Automation, installation, or service

• Basic Understanding of facilities and electrical requirements

• Ability to travel overnight 90% of the time

• May require weekend work.

• End of the Quarter work requires "All-Hands-On-Deck" attitude to achieve business

goals

• Expert level troubleshooting skills and capable of evaluating room layout and site

planning

• Must be able to effectively set up and connect hospital networks to Siemens remote

diagnostics.

• Must be organized, self-sufficient and capable of working with little or no supervision.

• Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Performs complex equipment installation, investigative tests, and repairs.

• Performs ATP, Calibrations, and Precision on Diagnostic products

• Maintains tools & parts inventory, schedules maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc., and

completes documents required of all installations.

• Performs complex service or systems calls and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality

service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution.

• Performs assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field support data and

recommends modifications or improvements.

• Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area.

• 2-3 Years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key

Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

• A relevant degree which may substitute for a portion of required working experience

Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law
