Position Summary
Job Summary:
The Light & Wonder IT PMO organization is responsible for delivering corporate IT projects for Light & Wonder. We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our project management team.
Essential Job Functions:
The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading project teams to deliver Light & Wonder cross-functional IT projects. Project and program management responsibilities include:
Developing and managing to industry standard project management procedures that govern our project activities
Maintaining the appropriate balance of scope, quality, schedule and cost across programs and projects to achieve business objectives
Developing and maintaining overall program and project implementation plans
Monitoring program/project schedules and financials to ensure that work is progressing according to budget and expected delivery timelines
Communicating an objective periodic (normally weekly) assessment of project status, using metrics when available, to project stakeholders and senior management sponsors
Identifying, documenting and managing Risks, Actions/Issues and Decisions within the program/projects and ensuring any required follow-up activities are completed
Ensuring sign-off from stakeholders on key milestones
Identifying areas where project team is blocked, facilitating targeted problem solving and next steps for the team to proceed
Working with project team members and stakeholders as needed to communicate and escalate risks and issues to project sponsors
Ensuring that team resources are being deployed as efficiently as possible by following consistent processes that allow us to minimize rework
Clarifying priorities and dependencies to ensure that work is completed in the appropriate sequence
Working with project team and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are documented and approved
Developing presentations and conducting steering committee meetings as required
Managing stakeholder and project team relationships fostering collaboration and team spirit, demonstrating leadership by example

Qualifications
Education:
Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, Science or Technology
Preferred: Masters degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Technology or Business

Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of project management experience with progressive levels of responsibility
Experience leading project teams in a matrix organization
Experience leading projects requiring data collection, data cleansing and data conversion
Experience leading ERP or application development projects
Experience managing project financials (budget, forecast, actual spend) with an understanding of capital vs expense spending
Experience leading IT infrastructure projects

Preferred Experience:
Experience working in a regulated industry
Experience managing projects associated with mergers and acquisitions
Experience managing Oracle ERP projects
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Extensive attention to detail - ability to define and monitor detailed project deliverables, risks, issues and action items and work with team to drive them to completion
Excellent communication and facilitation skills - ability to effectively lead meetings and communicate project status/issues to all levels of the organization, including senior management
Strong leadership skills
Excellent time management skills with a willingness to manage various types of projects concurrently
CAPM or PMP or certification or a willingness to achieve in the next 18 months
Excellent problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Power Point
