Overview

JOB SPECIFICS
OSF HealthCare is hiring a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hospice & Palliative Medicine Physician for an opportunity in Rockford, IL at OSF HealthCare St. Anthony Medical Center
1-day per week - Tuesdays only. This is a part-time position defined as 0.2 FTE. We encourage applicants who have an interest in full time position, combining Inpatient Palliative Medicine with an Internal Medicine practice, either inpatient or outpatient.
Multidisciplinary team includes Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Social Workers, and Pastoral Care.
Collaborating Physician with 3 highly experienced Palliative Care APRNs
Responsibilities include inpatient management and interdisciplinary meetings with Palliative Care and other disciplines at St. Anthony Medical Center
Program has a typical census of 12 inpatients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Interest and experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Fellowship training and/or Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Experience as a collaborating Physician with a robust and highly specialized group of Advance Practice Providers
