Provides coordination and support for the Category Management Team including data preparation, analysis and monitoring of category performance, coordination of initiatives across functions. This person will generate, maintain and help improve existing category management reporting to track and identify category performance against established metrics.

New Ways of Work : This position has been segmented as hybrid meaning the work is a combination of 3 days onsite In Rosemont, IL (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 days remotely (Monday and Friday) as defined by the role segmentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain regular reports to track performance and identify impact of variables on category performance against established metrics.

- Support Category Management by conducting analysis and coordination of data related to

+ Product performance

+ Assortment

+ Vendor & Market Price/cost changes

+ Vendor deals and promotional planning

+ Category /market level performance

+ Vendor performance and business reviews

+ New item setup

- Generate, maintain and help improve regular reports to track performance and identify impact of variables on category performance against established metrics. Collaborates with Replenishment team to identify and report on service level issues

- Coordination with PIM team, maintain, collects and reviews product level data (including customer decision tree and quality attributes, and relevant product information across platforms) to enhance E-COM experience

- Vendor & contract data maintenance including generation of contracts, analysis of contract changes, contract extensions and withdrawals

- Maintain Exclusive Brand Price Lists and item setup

- Assists in the development of RFI and RFP templates as needed

- Coordinates and assists category team with special projects including but not limited to required packaging changes, 1:1 marketing programs, creative briefs and point of sale and training material development

- Other duties as assigned

- Collaborate with other cross-functional stakeholders from Category Management, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Finance, Pricing and Operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:

-Four-year college degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience required.

Related Experience/Requirements:

-1-2 years’ experience in food service, retail, or consumer goods company industry related to marketing, sales, or operations preferred.

-Prior Category Management experience strongly desired.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Must possess the ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment and work effectively across multiple groups and levels.

-The successful candidate will have solid quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to work in a team setting.

-Must possess, or be able to rapidly develop, a strong knowledge of products within assigned category.

-Must be able to provide fact-based recommendations across various levels of management.

-The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of motivation, the ability to prioritize and self-direct, strong business acumen and sound interpersonal skills.

-Strong verbal, written and presentation skills required.

-Proficiency required in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word, -Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft Outlook.

- Prior experience with Microsoft Access a plus.
