Description
The CBI Training Specialist will be an experienced and skilled instructor who provides comprehensive training programs for Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Powered Industrial Truck (PIT/Forklift), and various technical subjects. The CBI Training Specialist will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective training sessions, ensuring participants acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties safely and efficiently. 
 Description of Essential Functions (critical tasks)
1. Develop and implement comprehensive training curriculum for CDL, PIT operations, and technical subjects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
2. Conduct classroom-based and hands-on training sessions, utilizing effective teaching methodologies and incorporating interactive activities to enhance learning.
3. Evaluate participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to assist in their skill development, demonstration and knowledge retention.
4. Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and performance evaluations.
5. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies related to the training subjects.
6. Collaborate with subject matter experts, operation teams and business partners to ensure training content aligns with organizational goals and industry requirements.
7. Promote a positive and safe learning environment, emphasizing safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations.
8. Assist in the development and administration of written and practical examinations to assess participant competency.
9. Provide ongoing support and guidance to training participants, addressing questions and concerns as they arise.
10. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training programs and implement changes as necessary.
11. Other duties as assigned. 
 Specific Functional Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required (e.g. Transportation, Logistics, Engineering, or Education). Relevant certifications or licenses to the training subjects (e.g. CDL, PIT/Forklift Operator Certification) required.
Experience: At least two years of experience as a CDL, Forklift or technical trainer with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of CDL regulations, forklift operations and technical subjects relating to training programs.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences. Excellent instructional and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners. Familiarity with adult learning principles and techniques for effective knowledge transfer.
Personal: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address training related issues.
Physical:
Other: Valid CDL and Forklift Operator Certifications or the ability to obtain current certifications.
