UIC is seeking an AV Support Associate to join our Technology Solutions, Learning Technologies Support (LTS) team. This role will lead a team of 30 undergraduate students who will primarily be responsible for providing in-person support to instructors using the technology available in UIC's 190 centrally managed classrooms and also ensuring the operational availability of UIC's 12 open/teaching computer labs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Hiring, mentoring, disciplining, daily supervision/scheduling, and completing student payroll-related tasks of our 30 Classroom Tech (CT) support student team.
Ongoing training and development of our CT support student team
Teaching the use of streaming tools (Zoom and Echo 360) used in conjunction with the IT/A/V equipment in our 190 centrally managed classrooms
Develop instruction regarding IT/AV technical support for UIC's 190 centrally managed classrooms and 12 computer labs
Developing and improving the IT/AV classroom troubleshooting documentation that is used by our CT student support team
Escalating technical support incidents to junior and senior level LTS AV support staff when needed
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 1 years of professional IT experience within Academic Technologies including experience in designing, developing and delivering course-related instruction using technology solutions to support university faculty in teaching courses.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with a ticketing-based support system such as TDX
Experience with enterprise communications programs such as Microsoft Teams and enterprise file sharing/collaboration programs such as Google Drive and Box
Familiarity with UIC campus
Knowledge of UIC's classroom technologies
Knowledge of LTS supported learning based applications and systems, including Blackboard and Echo360
Demonstrated supervisory experience in a technical-based environment
Demonstrated experience writing technical documentation for knowledge transfer
Excellent communication and organizational skills
