The Impact Youll Make in this Role

As a Site Electrical Engineer at 3M Cordova you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Responsible for leading the sites electrical infrastructure (from high voltage to IT networks), for compliance, operating efficiently and ensuring it is being maintained by properly trained personnel, 3M & contractors.
  • Developing and maintaining the infrastructure and development renewal plan, including technology advancements.
  • Direct and oversee electrical projects, including planned site outages.
  • Provide technical support on the procurement of manufacturing equipment.
  • Support and troubleshoot the sites electrical infrastructure.

 

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of electrical engineering experience and/or power distribution in a private, public, government or military environment

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Five years of electrical engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Decisive leadership skills (prone to action, sense of urgency)
  • Skills include written communication, verbal communication, teamwork with colleagues, Plant Engineering personne, production operators, technical problem-solving, etc.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Demonstrated experience participating on cross functional teams.
  • Self-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy

 

Work location: Cordova, IL

Travel: May include up to 10 domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
