WHAT YOU'LL DO
Climate & Sustainability (C&S) is BCG's fastest-growing Practice Area (PA) and a driving force for BCG's ambition to become the most positively impactful company in the world.

As a Senior Practice Area Coordinator in BCG's Climate & Sustainability Practice Area, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of the PA's day-to-day operations and core support processes. In addition, you will lead and drive ad-hoc projects and Practice Area events. You will collaborate closely with our PA Manager, our Management Team and your colleagues in other PAs and BCG's functions.
YOU'RE GOOD AT

Supporting, and in some cases driving complex, ambiguous PA projects or processes that routinely require independent judgment, trade-offs or prioritization
Independently collaborating with other functions on initiatives/recurring issues to find solutions or establish best practices
Staying calm under pressure, prioritizing effectively and driving to results
Self-starting with a strong work ethic, proactively identifying opportunities, improvements and innovations, and independently driving to completion
Supporting and in some cases, driving the organization of internal and external PA affiliation meetings and events
Operating effectively in a matrix organization
Staying organized and on-task amidst a high volume and variety of complex projects and stakeholders; comfort with agile sprints a plus
Collaborating and communicating across international and virtual teams
Showing robust business/content understanding
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

4-6+ years relevant experience
Bachelor's degree
The ability to handle defined PA processes or smaller projects with minimal guidance (sourcing, learning programs, etc.)
The ability to make independent decisions within existing guidelines, advising more junior team members
Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills; strong at conceptualization, follow-through, ownership and accountability
Solid analytical skills (e.g. for business reporting tasks) and a structured way of thinking
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional, service oriented, pro-active and flexible attitude
Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Your key stakeholders in this role are the Global Practice Management Executive Director and Practice Area Manager as well as the broader C&S management team. You will be working alongside PA Managers and Coordinators (within C&S and across other PAs) and colleagues in adjacent BCG functions like Marketing, Finance, Meetings & Events etc. You will also interact directly with other Leadership Team members like the PA Leader, e.g. in the context of PA Meeting or Leadership Team meeting organization.
Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG's industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
