Position Overview

This client-facing Survey Sales Consultant position is within our consumer and shopper insights team and is focused on developing internal and external client relationships to grow assigned clients/verticals that comprise between $3-5m in annual revenue. Sales growth will come primarily from clients that already have pre-existing Circana contracts (no cold calling - think inside sales). Core responsibilities will include developing/maintaining strategic relationships with internal Circana stakeholders to reinforce survey knowledge and expertise, developing trusted external client partnerships, proactively introducing survey expertise and best-in-class custom research solutions, writing and closing on proposals, and serving as senior oversight for more strategic engagements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify business opportunities among new and existing clients: maintain and grow the business year after year, achieving assigned sales targets.
  • Independently implement new lead generation through partnering with internal commercial and consumer and shopper insights teams.
  • Lead client meetings to uncover business issues and introduce survey capabilities.
  • Write proposals that address the client's business issues and win business.
  • Develop or customize sales materials specific to assigned verticals, where necessary.
  • Partner with survey delivery staff so that projects are on track and the analyses are insightful.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in a custom research supplier or client is required.
  • Experience in a client-facing role with revenue goals.
  • Knowledge of a variety of different quantitative and qualitative survey research methods.
  • Survey design knowledge for a variety of different methodologies.
  • Broad and deep understanding of various design approaches and/or ability to tap into resources within the company to ensure research designs are on-target.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to present survey capabilities to all different client levels.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients/proposals simultaneously and prioritize based on revenue potential and client urgency.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $150,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
