What will I be doing?
The Business Insights Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to join the New Frontiers Team within the Circana Technology organization. This team's goal is to build Circana's credentials as an Analytics leader in new industry verticals that are not the typical CPG and Retail client. This role is to support a large global hospitality organization that has a presence in several new areas such as Travel, Sports, Gaming, Restaurants and Hotels.
What will I be doing?
As a Business Insights Analyst, you will work closely with our clients to support Circana's solution deployment team through the delivery of client-focused services and data. This includes both typical Circana client data (CPG, General Merchandise, Food Service) as well as interesting new types of data sets such as Restaurant revenue, Hotel Room Reservations, Staff Labor hours and schedules etc.
In this role, you will be responsible for deriving actionable insights from a variety of data sources to inform leadership and drive business results for our clients. This role is client facing with the opportunity to engage with Senior Executives (VP and C-suite). Goal is to develop dashboards within the Unify platform that provide insights to support the client to make data-driven decision-making. This team is constantly using new technologies and methodologies to provide the best analytics for our clients. Your skill and acumen in analytics/BI tools will make you a valued resource with our clients and in the organization. Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Provide ad-hoc data, analytics, and insights to internal stakeholders
- Closely engage with internal stakeholders to provide ad-hoc data, analytics, and insights
- Accountable for building rapid rapport with key client contacts (ranging from analysts to executives) and across functions within the highly matrixed Circana organization
- Look for opportunities to increase client satisfaction with database reporting related to continuous updates within the databases including new item additions, executive-level reporting analysis, and provide greater efficiency
- Lead effective problem solving with the client and internal teams
- Act as the client insights and services team to ensure project requirements are successfully captured and executed
- Lead presentations that deliver insightful, strategic, and actionable answers for clients
- Provide superior service leadership through exceptional management of all aspects of content delivery for the client
- Create indispensable, long-term, solution-focused consultative partnerships; Establish trust based on demonstrated commitment to quality and service.
- Coordinate client solutions across multiple Circana functions (i.e., CI, Analytics, Technology Consulting, etc.)
- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Data Science or other quantitative disciplines
- 2 + years of experience in business analytics and reporting
- Data visualization experience with BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Domo is a plus
- Ability to glean business insights and make recommendations based on evaluation of complex data sets
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage/support complex client deliverables
- Proven ability to consult with clients to influence thinking and drive Circana's business agenda
- Strong problem-solving skills, and high attention to details
- Excellent organizational skills and written/verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to recognize and respond to client needs from a service perspective
