Job Description
Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounts payable for a portfolio of individual properties and will work with a variety of tools such as AVID and Concur.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable for a portfolio of individual properties
- Utilize AVID to code invoices to the correct property, time period, and bank account
- Scan Accounts Payable invoices with matching checks into General Ledger entry attachment
- Respond to inquiries and requests from property accountants
- Conduct weekly check runs and file Accounts Payable backup
- Maintain up-to-date excel spreadsheets of utilities accounts
- Perform vendor statement and invoice reconciliation
- Confirm vendor W-9 and track Vendor Insurance Requirements/Coverage
- Research past balances and manage check requests from property managers
- Perform related clerical duties and other office duties as required. Requirements – Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
- Demonstrable skills in Account Coding and Coding Invoices
- Experience in performing Account Adjustments
- Proficient in using Concur for expense management
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger operations
- Experience in Full Cycle Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data.
