Beacon Hill is in search of a Paralegal for a role in IL. Details are below.

The Paralegal works closely with and provides legal & compliance support services to the in-house legal & compliance department and internal staff while ensuring the smooth operation of our legal & compliance processes. The role will perform/coordinate corporate law, regulatory, litigation and compliance related activities under the supervision of the Corporate Vice President of Legal Affairs & Compliance and the Compliance Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Collaborate in the preparation of customer, vendor, and employment contracts.
* Perform timely handling and support of highly sensitive issues and materials related to areas of operating within the legal & compliance teams. Perform regular daily administrative tasks.
* Maintain internal records, including assisting with the upkeep of corporate document management systems, in compliance with corporate policy and federal, state, and local guidelines and requirements.
* Coordinate and manage electronic contracting systems.
* Maintenance of corporate minutes, registrations, and the company's entities reports.
* Assist with litigation management including preparation of pleading, motions, and correspondence.
* Support of the compliance program including the credentialing of the company's advocates.
* Assist with the processing of medical record requests/subpoena for records.
* Assist with scanning and saving of medical records into the company's systems.
* Manage litigation discovery using corporate systems.
* Coordinate with outside counsel.
* Handle special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Education:

* High School Diploma/GED
* License/Certification:
* Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate
* Experience:
* At least 2-3 years of related experience and knowledge; preferably with an in-house healthcare company or a litigation law firm.

SKILLS

* Ability to exercise discretion in the coordination and handling of sensitive and confidential information.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities with high level of accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database applications).
* eam player with ability to communicate across multiple levels and establish and maintain effective relationships.
* Exceptional analytical, research and writing skills. Ability to proofread typed material for grammatical, typographical, and legal citations.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and via multiple platforms.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate
Experience: At least 2-3 years of related experience and knowledge; preferably with an in-house healthcare company or a litigation firm.
