JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Will run a simulation of catalyst performance and understanding of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and engine system performance
* Review test cell data and ensure no issues with Aftertreatment or performance shift.
* Ensure all cell hardware is accounted for, current and future programs.
* Make sure they are tracked properly electronically to accumulate hours.
* Run simulations to ensure catalyst performance meets program needs.
* Perform analysis for new programs on total catalyst volume needed to meet required emissions
* Troubleshoot and fix aftertreatment related issues/codes in test cell, especially during install
* Create aftertreatment related diagnostic maps and simulate they trip
* Gather test cell data for boundary conditions hardware will undergo while testing/out in application and for emission cycles.
* Responsible for communicating results and issues to team members, suppliers and engine system development process partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor"s degree in an accredited Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or related curriculum and 2-5 years of progressive work experience
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to adjust to multiple demands, changing priorities, multitask effectively
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Catalyst, Test Experience
* Matlab and/or Python analysis and modeling for engine and/or aftertreatment performance
* Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proficiency in DatK and Canape
* Ability to draw conclusions from analysis and make decisions
* Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
* Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills
