Job Description:

The Frequency and Time Systems Business Unit of Microchip (MCHP) is a world leader in precise time solutions and sets the world's standard for time. The company generates, distributes, and applies precise time for the communications, aerospace/defense, IT infrastructure, and metrology industries.

Microchip's Boulder office is seeking a Contracts Manager for the administration of customer contracts and vendor sub-contracts, typically in the performance of U.S. Government Aerospace and Defense programs. We are looking for a person ready to make an impact using their organizational and planning skills, their attention to detail, their drive, willingness to learn new things, and can-do attitude.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, well organized, and able to work independently within a team framework supporting program management, engineering, operations, marketing, and finance groups. They must be confident in assuming responsibility for customer and subcontractor contractual interactions. They must also be comfortable working with a diverse group of employees in various functions and have effective written and oral communication skills. Every member of our team directly contributes to the success of the group.

The Contracts Manager position responsibilities include:
Directly support program management and facilitate customer interactions for proposal and contract terms reviews including FAR/DFAR clauses, Representations and Certifications, quality clauses, engineering and programmatic requirements, financial reporting and other site unique elements as identified.
Basic working knowledge of the meaning for common FAR/DFARs that affect contract performance and how to research FAR/DFAR clauses.
Coordinate with corporate organizations (business management, legal, finance, customer support, purchasing, etc.) to support contract review, risk assessment, negotiations, and acceptance, balancing external and internal timelines and deliverables based on customer and internal stakeholder engagement and interactions.
Provide input to proposals to ensure site compliance to these and other customer and product requirements are met.
Management of contractual records keeping, including customer correspondence, review documentation, active and historic contracts and contract modifications.
Assist program management in the tracking and fulfilment of contractual requirements, data deliverables, financial updates, invoicing, and manage contract closeout procedures, track payments other activities as directed by program management.
Support business and engineering teams with the use of preapproved templates and clauses for proposal and quoting efforts and triage proposal escalation questions to BU and Legal teams.
Support business, engineering, and operations with technical writing, formatting, graphics generation, quoting, price list maintenance, order acknowledgement, and other activities as needed.
