The work we do here matters.Department OverviewThe Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery.

The Global Product Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Hardware, Software and Supply Chain Services required for Motorola to design, build and distribute Video, Radio and Accessory products. The Global Procurement team is evolving from more traditional sourcing and procurement goals by looking beyond simple cost savings and creating value for the corporation by improving product profitability, increasing supplier collaboration and leveraging supplier roadmaps to bring new solutions to our business partners. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations, revenue and savings within the business.Job Description

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate cross-functional team leadership, working closely with Product Management, Product Design, Technical and Business Development to achieve results.

Provide guidance procurement planning: determining appropriate procurement method, contract preparation, development, award, administration, and termination.

Perform market research/analysis to determine availability of the requirement, analyze market trends, commercial practices, conditions and technological advances and determine the sources to be solicited.

Develop and Execute cohesive strategies, with focus on developing strategies for current and future supply needs, resiliency, market trends, government regulations, and business environments.

Be responsible for leading a team of subject matter experts through operations and supply processes, including forecasting, sourcing, compliance, quality, and contracting.

Be responsible for inventing and implementing process improvements, automation, and best practices to support growth and scale with Global reach.

Establish and Maintain executive presence across Quality, Finance, Product, and Sales organizations.

Advance governance around best practices and procurement policies.

Institute procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics.

Lead a team of individual contributors.

Initiate open and candid coaching conversations at all levels.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent communication skills verbal and written.

5 plus years of Executive leadership experience.

Department managing including recruiting, hiring, and performance management.

Global responsibility and vision for Supply Chain and Procurement.

Strong managerial and negotiation skills.

Industry experience in Electronics Manufacturing or similar, particularly in the Semiconductor space.

Leading complex end-to-end RF(x) process.

Thriving in a high-energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.

Must reside in Chicago to be considered for this position.

Candidates must have professional experience in Semiconductors,General Procurement or Sourcing at the Directors level or higher to be considered for this role.

Basic Requirements
Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain, or Technology

5 years of experience in Procurement strategy or Contract management.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
