Job Description

100% telecommute position. May work remotely or telecommute to company HQ in Glenview, IL.                      

 

Job Duties:

  • Serve as sales engineer with focus on concrete flatwork products within ITW’s PNA Construction Technologies product lines.
  • Works independently and collaborates effectively with PNA sales team to conduct project-specific optimization of PNA products/services on concrete flatwork projects.
  • Communicates effectively with external decision makers and influencers of concrete flatwork projects, i.e. engineers, architects, contractors etc., to understand their need. Prepares and delivers targeted presentations (both technical and general) on PNA products and solutions.
  • Utilizes PNA’s computer software/tools to carry out engineering designs and analysis. Improves the algorithm and utility of existing software/tools or develops new software/tools to adapt to the evolving need for engineering problem solving.
  • Provides technical training, consultation, and support to the PNA sales team. Serves as the subject expert for PNA new product development.
  • Conducts on-site inspection of the installation/implementation of PNA products or solutions, including concrete placement, distress survey and other technical consultation.
  • Participates in industry organizations, conferences, and tradeshows to identify and develop relationships with key influencers in the concrete flatwork industry, and to become a recognized concrete flatwork engineer within the groups.

 

Required Minimum Position Qualifications: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related engineering field and 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in a position involving concrete engineering research, testing, or application. Employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related engineering field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered, or in a position involving concrete engineering research, testing, or application.

 

Position also requires demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Concrete flatwork engineering
  • Concrete materials
  • Flatwork engineering methods
  • Field condition assessment, testing methods, and instrumentation
  • Concrete pavement engineering tools, such as Mechanistic-Empirical design and
  • Finite element method and programming languages such as Visual Basic

 

Applicants must have or be eligible for a Professional Engineer license.
