Position Summary:
The Sr. Director of Operations plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, EHS, and Facilities & Maintenance at the Richmond, IL manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for ensuring product quality, on-time delivery, margin expansion, and portfolio vitality. For the Richmond focus on associate engagement and attrition, maturing the Danaher Business System (DBS) culture, compliance, fostering cross-functional teamwork, and instilling a sense of purpose.
This position will lead the Manufacturing organization located in Richmond, IL and will be onsite.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Lead the development, deployment, and optimization of an overarching manufacturing strategy for the Richmond, IL site, demonstrating expertise in managing complex manufacturing operations, while ensuring alignment with company objectives and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Lead the expansion of manufacturing capabilities for the Richmond site; maintain a focus on seamless integration of new manufacturing lines, while ensuring scalability and optimization of resources for sustainable growth.
+ Partner with LBS’s Global Supply Chain Organization for efficient demand planning and phase-in/phase-out of products.
+ Provide senior leadership to Operations/Manufacturing, EHS & Facilities teams, ensuring team development, engagement, and collaboration across LBS; develop a comprehensive plan that bridges the gap between the current state and the desired ideal structure, ensuring alignment of resources, roles, and responsibilities with the manufacturing strategy.
+ Maintain high standards of operational excellence, including quality, regulatory compliance, delivery, and working capital metrics.
+ Achieve consistent on-time delivery of Engineering projects through strong project management and risk management.
+ Drive margin expansion through structured approaches to materials and labor productivity improvement.
+ Implement Danaher Business Systems throughout the manufacturing operations.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ BA/BS degree, or equivalent relevant experience, required; MA/MS degree, or equivalent relevant experience, preferred
+ Minimum 10-15 years proven leadership in a Manufacturing environment
+ Experience in Lean Enterprise business system/environment, including Daily Management, Kaizen, and structured Problem-Solving processes
+ Deep understanding and minimum 5 years’ experience in FDA-regulated or other highly-regulated industries
+ Direct management of annual budgets of minimum $10M and/or business/products generating minimum $100M, with a proven track record of shareholder value creation.
+ Track-record of structured, process-based, continuous improvement; proven facts and numbers-based leadership capability in systems like “lean” and or environment, including Daily Management, Kaizen, and structured Problem-Solving processes
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Diagnostics and/or Medical Device Industry; understanding of the complexities of working in an industry where compliance to regulation is a must
+ Leading teams and driving change in a global matrixed organization
The salary range for this role is 190,000 – 220,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
