About the Position: Serves as the Lead Logistics Management Specialist responsible for providing management and technical direction to a team of logistics management specialist regarding foreign government requirements and preparing foreign military sales (FMS) Letters of Offers and Acceptance(LOA). Responsibilities Oversees the development of complex ammunition cases for assigned countries/international organizations for U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command (JMC) managed conventional and non-standard ammunition, training, and technical data. Serves as team leader over a team of logistics management specialist ensuring organization mission, values, and goals are communicated to the team and integrated. Coaches/advises logistics management specialist on analytical tools and choosing a course of action in resolving issues/accomplishing work. Provides advice to JMC Security Assistance Management Directorate on FMS logistics management issues Participates in cross-functional teams within JMC on issues associated with FMS case and LOA development and execution for foreign customers. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases for assigned countries/international organizations; interpreting Security Assistance (SA) policies as they relate to munitions logistical support; collaborating with subject matter experts (i.e. country managers, program managers) to develop Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) for FMS customer requests; modifying and/or amends LOAs to maintain logistical or financial transactions related to FMS; performing technical reviews of FMS cases to ensure completeness.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone—no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement.
