Begin your adventure with our Field Follow Team, where you’ll gain hands-on experience and insights. From there, dive into Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) and Warranty, working closely with our Test and Validation and Engineering teams.

This role offers a unique blend of experiences across multiple facets of our organization, ensuring you develop a well-rounded experience. After completing these assignments, you’ll have the opportunity to explore diverse roles within Quality, Product Support or Engineering, continuing your growth and impact at Caterpillar.

What You Will Do:

+ Drive into Developmental Assignments: Gain hands-on experience and provide support across multiple areas:

+ Field Follow Team: Visit customer sites, interact with machines and tools, and discover and resolve issues.

+ Engineering Teams Collaboration: During your field follow rotation, work closely with engineering teams at Peoria Proving Grounds (PPG), engaging in learning and development functions.

+ Continuous Product Improvement: Contribute to the post-production process, identifying and addressing product deficiencies to enhance quality.

+ Warranty Discovery Team: Collaborate with suppliers and recover funds related to quality issues in Caterpillar Products.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

+ Education : Recent college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

+ Able to gain knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

+ Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

+ Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

+ Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

+ Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
